HAPPY NEW YEARS PRINCE FAM! 2012 IS HERE!

It's not like me to present topics so absurd like where I am about to go now. BUT...lol.

Lovesexy is one of my favorite eras from Prince! The clothes, songs, sound, meaning, and overall production is just stellar IMO. I've always dug the Polka-Dots suit he wore during his concert. Recently on Tumblr I ran across this:

I know MJ used BODY doubles sometimes, (It's been reported that is, not so sure ) but Prince? NOT saying this is body double..BUT Prince seemed to have more muslce around this this time. Here he looks very skinny, and made up.

EXAMPLE:

Prince has different looks as we all know, but the picture above is nothing like the one above it. It seems as he has lost a lot weight, with tons of light make up, and HEAVY eyebrows. It just caught my attention, because 1988-1989 he seemed real fitted and have gained muscle. It made me think if this was an impersonator?

What do you all think? Feel free to post pictures from this era, or other times where Prince's LOOK was largely unparalleled from that era.

I heard that Prince also did this in the 80's, especially around that era.

You see what I mean? Haha, The difference is not that noticeable, but its there certainly. The make up, eye brows, but the main thing that gets my attention is the weight. There seems to be no weight on him which was unlikely during this time. The clothes seems to just hang on him, especially his pants, I know he had many different suits like this, but this one seems unmistakeably too big on him.

Really? I never heard any such thing? Well, if he did...my best bet would be this is a double. Then again..I don't know? lol...This picture can be photoshopped as well? lol

that's Prince. that pic's from Rolling Stones magazine as he's entering the Grammy awards that year. I have the issue. Not only is that Prince, but there are more photos from that night, and he's on video during the telecast when he's put up against U2. And he's got the same suit and hair in all those different views of the same night.

what's funny is that in 1992 there is a similar pic of him entering the Grammy's during the Diamonds and Pearls phase. And it has similar characterisics.

Personally I don't see any different between the two pics you posted outside of his hair being curly and his hair smooth straightened.

He kept bushy eybrows for this album for everything. Check the album cover itself.

Prince is ridiculously skinny. In shape, but skinny as hell.

Thanks all of you for the comments, Looking at the pictures more, I see what you all see. I was just thrown off by the make up. I did know the eye brows during this time were very bushy. It's true that his stage attire seems more fitted all the more than when he's just out and about. I never really payed attention to how skinny he is, these days he seems to have more weight which is good. His fashion sense always seems plays an illusion. The focus on details seem to paint what's not really there. Such as the buttons on the pants to make him taller, the turtle neck to hide the long neck, the lop sided jackets where one side is longer than the other, or simply the LONG Jesus Robs like this:

Haha..It brings on an illusion, so maybe that's what made me question the picture. I was distracted by something in the water...Haha

Nevertheless, it's cool. We're talking about Prince here, what he wears reflects an array of things it seems? lol

DUDE looks extra skinny in the red. No wonder he has a lot of body guards, because if it gets too windy, he will fly with wind. Hahaha. I had no clue he was this small at one time.

He is skinny and very little and small, but he is so cute.

I don't know about the body double thing, in fact, never heard about it.

As far as, his body. He has to maintain a certain weight because of his short statue. He's only what 5' 3, if that.

I heard about it concerning MJ not Prince. But it's interesting...I don't think Prince used it though... YEP! 5'3 I think! lol

Playa, playa! Unmistakable P swagger I love that man's style, (maybe only on him, it may not work the same for anyone else )

I think the change in appearance can most be chalked up to being on tour. Artists often lose weight on the road, especially when they are doing super active shows like Lovesexy which was one of the most energetic concerts Ihave ever seen.

WOW! That's a nice way to put it! I never looked at it like that! Indeed it was FULL of energy, and I'm sure it could have chalked him out. He was jumping around on beds and everything. Haha

He's always been a lollipop. Skinny body...gigantic head.
