Emancipation disc 2 and Prince. I can listen to them both without skipping one song. Disc 2 is just beautiful and Prince imo is his best singing ever.

you are referring to the Lovesexy CD. Depending on the country it was sold in, it was one track.

Still it's nice to know, when our bodies wear out, we can get another

I'm not sure if folks mentioning LoveSexy because it was a single track are trying to be clever and failing, or just missing the point of the OP, but I'd say the closest Prince has come to an no-skipper for me is Purple Rain.

I'm not sure if you're trying to be clever and faliling, or if you're missing the point:

Oh, I read the thread backwards.

LoveSexy is the only one.

But, I still think several of you on this thread are morons.

Very few Prince albums are like that IMO

Purple Rain and 1999 are the only ones that come to mind. Sign O the Times and Lotus Flower (disc 1) enter the conversation. Play in the Sunshine is so incredibly corny it is normally tolerated but not a must listen.

It’s really weird too because Prince has really released some incredibly strong songs but he is such a risk taker and covers so much ground that often the music just doesn't work cohesively.

It imo has been one P's few weaknesses

albums like Parade, ATWIAD, Controversy, and Dirty Mind brilliant but incredibly uneven and some songs very skippable.

I mean c'mon Jack U Off = Garbage

Lovesexy is the ONE! I still listen to all of them in ONE. smile

But I don't have time for that all the time, so I have the whole album in one, as well as separate tracks! Someday, I just want to hear: GLAM SLAM OR DANCE ON! Heck, everything on that album is perfect! One of my favorite albums of all time! smile Haha

My choices

Dirty Mind

Purple Rain

Parade

Sign Disc 2 (Dorothy Parker and Slow Love drag on)

3121

The rest all have at least one lesser or many lesser songs that can not be listened too except under special circumstances. Some albums like 1999 are only because of songs like Automatic that drag on for 9.5 minutes.

On the other hand, only 3 songs on TRC are actually not skipped.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

hmm

very good question... and I swear I used to have the answer to this falloff

it's been ages since I listened to an entire Prince album.

Wait, that's not quite true.

I listened to all of Parade... oh wait, I skipped "Sometimes it snows in April" and "Mountains"

someone sent me the album via email so I had to burn my own CD and I took the liberty of adding "heart or $", the long version of "Mountains" (only version I have), and "Alexa de Paris" after the regular 12 tracks, sorry 11

yep, I've been very out of touch.

umm... let's see...

LoveSexy is a given rolleyes not that I mind it all that much, its a great album

Planet Earth is true to a degree... except the most recent 3 times, I have skipped "Resolution"

Come is most definitely one of the Prince albums I simply must listen to all the way through. I just love the fact it is so cohesive between how the tracks sound, how they fit together, it's like a whole experience in itself that I love to disappear into every now and then.

Purple Rain is another given, lol... simply cannot leave a track out of that mix, it's just so great. still is after 100+ run throughs over the past 4 years

Dirty Mind, definitely... every song is great on the album and it's hard to leave one in the dust

I believe that's it.

With the exception of prince, Diamonds & Pearls, Rave and Musicology... I think that's it...

the most songs I skip on an album is one or two... depends on the album

1999, I have listened to in its entirity and sometimes I just pick my favorites cuz it's such a long album

boy I've been outta touch

had 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. It started raining, baby, the birds were gone
