O YES! It's my jam! Such a weird song, that he could only pull of. The Surgery line is quite weird...lol. But his vocals are deep and strange. It's an awesome B-Side! It's Button Therapy, Baby!

i love this song. i love u in me is something i have said to my boyrfriend... it's real & proves he listens to women & is attune to their thoughts & feelings.
my boyfriend hates the surgery line, but I've always taken it to mean her love is precise, she knows exactely what to do... that it is like a fine procedure... i could be way off, but that is what i choose to believe rather than P just threw in any old word that rhymed.

Always loved this song. It's on The hits and B-sides, which is the album which really set me on the Prince path. [Edited 11/6/14 11:19am]

I get what he means by surgery but it doesn't stop me from thinking of small cuts with a scalpel. Sex and scalpels should never be mixed. Great ballad though.

Prefer the live version of it over the studio one. Hearing it made me love the song when before I only liked it. When go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all up in the house but when log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

For me it's one of the best ballads ever. It's sweet and racy, and only Prince could pull this off and make it work.

It was a show in Pennsylvania somewhere. I have it on video. I'll check the date/place when I get a chance. When go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all up in the house but when log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

The One/monad really doesn't love another until they realize that what they love in the other is really God in the lover as love loving the other as Love and it becomes reflective and infinite. Moms hopefully love their children as Soul first and foremost, Soul that God created and encases in the flesh. Breaking free is where it is - sex may be the hook but it still is een God in the sex. Just kidding Yeah, falling in love and sexing it for one life isn't as fun as falling in love over many lives with the same individuated soul - till death do us part seems like such a cop out. I love the u in me sounds like it was for more than one life...I can't count so well anymore. If the song is only about sex...no comment. ~honey is b-ing 1 with the 1~
