Now for it's counterparts..."Under the Cherry Moon" and "Graffiti Bridge"...well those movies just sucked pure royal ass.
I'm new here and I seem to be running against popular sentiment, so I hope you all won't go ugly on me, but I truly enjoyed Graffiti Bridge . . . Morris Day running Pandemonium, the capitol of hell in Paradise Lost. Still trying to figure out which of the Inferno's nine circles of hell was being depicted when he performed Shake.
First off, welcome to the org! Second, you are entitled to your opinion and I respect that, so if you like Grafitti Bridge, then that's fine. To be honest, I do watch Under the Cherry Moon for laughs, though I still think the movie sucks and of course the soundtrack was genius. I think "Parade" was a better soundtrack than Purple Rain honestly. Grafitti Bridge, I cringe every time I see even one scene from it..but I don't think the soundtrack was bad at all. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince. |

It's always nice to see that there are some civil folks here on the org. Thanks, missfee.
I agree UTCM is good for laughs. I watch it as a sort of guilty pleasure. It's not one of my favs, but it gets a pass because it's Prince. Graffiti Bridge is another matter alltogether for me, like missfee, I find it "cringe-worthy". In fact, imo, GB is downright embarassing.

Purple Rain: Classic
UTCM: Still a classic, even though there's argument against it.
Graffiti Bridge: Uh..nope. Not gonna happen.
They may be dated, but I'd still watch PR or UTCM over any modern music video anyday. Not many artists invest in making films like these anymore. The salvation of man is through love and in love. - Dr. V. Frankl
