This is the first one that popped into my head too. Unfortunately, I wasn't even a Prince fan back then. I didn't get interested in Prince music until the Purple Rain era.
Another show that I would love to see would be a Lovesexy concert, probably the one that was in Columbus or Cincinnati. I have one of the concerts from that tour, and it kicks ass. Prince's energy level is off the chain! RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you. |

Prince and Rick James on the "Fire It Up" tour in 1980. The two baddest artists of all time trying to outdo each other on the same show. Andy is a four letter word. |

This was an interesting time for him both professionally and artistically!

The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

I was there! It was an awesome show. At the time most of the songs were new and it was hard to get into them, having never heard them before. I'm thinking that was the same case for the First Ave shows that everyone wishes they could have went to.

NYE 1987 - the infamous Miles Davis show.
Prince at his (arguably) musically creative peak, his dancing peak, with (arguably) his best ever band, in a brand spanking new Paisley Park, the intimacy, the fact it was NYE, and then on top of all of that he has none other than Miles Davis as a guest (my second favourite artist of all time)! Unbeatable

Exactly. Imagine seeing them knowing what you know now. Having seen and heard them so many times but being able to experience it live. The Small club show would be a good one. If the milk turns out to be sour, I aint the kinda pussy to drink it! |

I was fortunate enough to see a ton of shows 1994-1995 between Glam Slam and Paisley Park, so I did get used to the songs...just the first time was a little weird not knowing what I was hearing. Any Lovesexy aftershow would have to be at the top of my list. I saw the main show, so that would have been the icing on the cake, but he didn't do any in Chicago. TRUE BLUE |
