This was my first Prince album (along with the two hits discs) and it made me a fan so I will always love it. If you are a fan of Prince's "rock" music the first side of Chaos and Disorder is virtually perfect.

Heck, I even like "I Rock, Therefore I Am" and "Dig U Better Dead." Long live Scrap D and Steppa Ranks!

All it needs is for I Rock, Therefore I Am and I like It There to be removed to be perfect.

I like it There is one of my top5 Prince songs of all time. I LOVE IT! Love the cd as well. It ranks number 2 on my top 5 Prince albums

I love the song and think the album is quite solid for what it was presented as. The riff in Chaos is one of his best rockers.

some turds, some good tracks, a couple of classics and his VERY best "short/odd" track

but the album as a whole is one of his lesser efforts...

The album is probably my 2nd favorite Prince album, maybe even my favorite. As far as being good start-to-finish, it's my #1 favorite. There's not a song on Chaos and Disorder that I don't like, but the title track is actually my least favorite on the album..

Nope, don't agree. I do wish "Empty Room" had been on the album, though. It would've been one of the best songs, if included. I love "There Is Lonely" but I don't think it fits in on this album. "The Ride" and "Calhoun Square" are really just decent (imo), and I don't like "What's My Name".

Also, if I had to rank the songs that are on the album from favorite to least, I'd rank them like this:

1. Into The Light
2. Dinner With Delores
3. Right The Wrong
4. I Like It There
5. I Will
6. I Rock, Therefore I Am
7. Dig U Better Dead
8. Zanalee
9. The Same December
10. Chaos and Disorder

So, obviously, I'm not even happy with the songs you chose to keep on the album.

When I first heard the album, it was all I listened to for about a month.

That's actually how it went with every Prince album I bought. I'd buy a new album every month, and listen to it non-stop until I got the next one. I have all the albums now, though, so I'm bored..

Dig U Better Dead (It took me a while to 'Dig' this, While the lyrics are very repetitive, I LOVE IT! "It started as an experiment, and turned into a heaven sent message that saved your ass from dying" I LOVE THAT LINE! Haha
