This just surfaced last year, posted by Jill herself on YouTube.
I agree, not great, but it doesn't hurt to add it to the hard drive.

did she really post it herself?
or is that a bit of fammy myth?

Definitely a little uninspired, but it's a glimpse into the world of Prince that we never heard, so yeah it's not a problem adding it to the collection.
I'm still waiting on Hey Hannigan! LOL __________________________________________________

She posted it herself. Last April.
Nice track, from the aborted second album. Recorded in late 87 and mixed in early 88. |

why would that be a fammy myth?
"Love & honesty, peace & harmony"

It was posted by Jill herself on line. You can search the talk about the "new" song in the search function of the site to find out more information. But, nope not a fammy myth! 99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment

I've heard "Hey Hannigan"! OMG, that was so funny.
Some guy named Lou threw down a techno beat on a toy Casio keyboard and grunted, "Hey...umphf...Hey...uhhh....Hey Hannigan...umphf" for about three minutes.
I wish I'd saved it. It was hilarious! I can't believe how many people thought that was Prince back in the day.
Greatest Prince hoax I ever saw, LOL.

Jill uploaded it to her Facebook. The orger Tchisaii put it on YouTube, as he or she just mentioned.
It was big org news, don't know where you were that month. However, the original (large) thread about it got deleted because somebody posted the link and as you know, that's against org rules. If you use the search function you'll see plenty of other threads that were made at the time. If you mean it should have been front page news, even Prince's own releases don't always make front page news. Extraloveable, for instance, an official release with no front page coverage.
And that shot at The Family was unnecessary, I saw them a few weeks ago at Jazz Cafe, which is a prestigious venue in London, it was sold out, and it got national media coverage.

nationalmedia coverage
just googled it and got jack shit.
not even a mention in metro.
odd as how their debut album sold 2300 copies in 1986

So damn wrong, but I can't stop laughing at that and the bingo hall comment.

Thanks for the clippings Militant. It made this thread worth it. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

yeah it did actually! | |

It's a nice song. It actually came out the same day my dear baby brother died suddenly and tragically last April. Our surname is lust. It was a nice coincidence in the prince world. He was a huge fan and orger himself. If the milk turns out to be sour, I aint the kinda pussy to drink it!

I never realised it was that day...wow...
