The tour from Europe 2 America seemed really interesting because we saw certain evolutions
I hoped that he would have used this tour to bring previous band members in for periods of time
It was always exciting when Sheila E joined the band, hopes for Bobby Z playing Purple Rain, NYC and a few tv shows had the Twinz dancing, it would have been cool if he had Revolution/protege band member join for a period
I noticed at the LA forum show, when Prince paid tribute 2 various artists including The Time, Vanity 6, Michael Jackson...Sheila E got the strongest reaction from the crowd.
@ Marrk > there was reflection in the introspective projection; it is natural
But in all honesty, if I have to re-examine the underlying motif for initiating this reasoning is merely as a reaction 2 various events, including reactions from many towards the most recent tour in terms of
- setlists
- format
- genres
*sigh
No harm was meant

Probably because they thought/hoped she appear
If he did it more with like Morris or another Time member etc it would be a cool interplay for Prince and it would kick in curiousity for fans that didn't live those times |

Yes, and I think bringing in Jesse Johnson as some1 else suggested, or even Dez would be great. I think Prince needs to free himself up (just a lil bit) from the guitar, so as 2 focus on other areas of the live groove.
Can any1 comment or are there threads about Andy on rhythm guitar? Maybe this is a separate thread, coz I was wonding if she can play the chickengrease

Yeah there is a few other threads on Andy and her playing
She doesn't have it.
It would definately have been cool to have various combinations of the noituloveRevolution & the current NPG while inviting past members for a show or 2... It started to feel like a 'celebration' and I think or hoped it would have sparked something new musically
Dez Jesse Wendy on guitar at various times, |

I'm always excited to see what Prince has next, however I agree with you! I think he is taking some time off to get back into the creative process. Which is fantastic. "Welcome 2..." Has become a very fascinating agenda, and ultimately it opened more doors. Many fans were made! His North Sea Jazz Festival, Hop Farm, Way Our West. Prince has really done so much this past year! This tour was extensive, and I think He will always have some new tricks up his sleeve. I;m anxious to see what's next. Some new program of things!
The NPG have been of very diverse during this tour, notably Andy Allo has really welcomed a more flexible structure to his creativity. I think she should stick around more, but I really hope be brings back SONNY T, and Shelia. E. So many other NPG members who highlight the genius of this man! I am expecting much more to come.
I feel an album will be out soon, and whatever is to come. I am expecting. You never know with Prince, but once thing is certain! THAT MAN IS FUNKY, and creative! He's beginning endlessly!
I want a new work in his program, a shattered diverse Setlist, and a new manifestation of purple magic! Haha

Love those photos. What'd be nice would be a traditional CD with a photo booklet like en the old days. Change it one more time.. |

I know what you mean, something about opening an album or a cd booklet with photos and credits and lyrics |

I'd like to see the band's current lineup go away forever, personally, but the only break I'd like Prince to take is from touring so he can give me another album. I don't really value him as a live performer as much as some people, and he'll never come to my city [Pittsburgh] anyway. He's only ever been here twice, i think. |
