Star 69 is on Common's excellent new lp
How can you say that song is shit? The whole album is blinding! Star 69 is not the album's best moment, but it's still a strong tune. You're right, The last minute shows prince's influence on the track. Quite frankly, this song sucks! It's completely unimpressive. A combo like Common, Bilal and Prince and this is all they can come up with? It's a piece of shit.

Just to make sure I hated this song, I listend to it right now. Yup, it sucks. Now if the song centered on the cool ass vibe of the ending and went from there, we'd have a whole different story. And maybe I'm losing my hearing but I can't hear a guitar in this song anywhere... The best song IMO on this album is Jimi was a Rockstar. That song kicks ass! This man is willing to do the work... I know I saw Eryka Badu (sorry if the names are wrong I am not very well with names)...how graceful and beautiful...she is live. And I think Common was there...I just didnt know who he was...funny how if U take the media away everybody BLENDS...very nicely at the PARK.
