In all honesty though, I'd love to see the pics too. I've forgotten what they looked like.
I wonder if it's the way I imagine--sort of the Mustang Ranch lobby but reeking of GetWild.

So nobody knows how to use a sodding search engine?
This is the first (and one of the few) pictures in the results when you google 'npg store camden': [img:$uid]http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a191/AsylumUtopia2/npgstore01.jpg[/img:$uid]

^^ Check that Vauxhall Nova out! I had a blue one of those.
I was only at the Camden shop a handful of times what with living hundreds of miles away, loved it when I was there though, but thinking back, it was actually a load of shitty tat. They had a not bad selection of music the times I visited though. Happy days.

Ha ha, check out the styles of the crowd! So 1990s & at the time I didn't think the 90's had any particular look. I was in the Camden store once for a birthday party which skint me £25!! A lot of dosh in 1995! It was full of fans mulling around looking at stuff. Did hear the first ever airing of Poom Poom which I was trying very hard not to bust some moves to cuz it was sooo funky! Saw a Prince lookalike & he was his spitting image, almost All the fans were asked to write a message on this huge birthday card that was supposedly going to be sent to him. Yeah right, sent straight into the dumpster out the back door I bet! [Edited 12/18/11 8:05am]

I looked on google and there was not much to be honest.
I was actually wondering (and I should of said this before) if anybody had taken personal snaps of the inside or outside. I'm sure there's loads that nobodies put on line or arn't tagged with NPG Store
But thanks for the pictures, they bring back so many memories
Thinking of It I should probably change the title to share your memories and photo's of the NPG Stores

I have no pics, but these are my memories of the Minneapolis store.
The music selection was horrible, considering most music stores had way more than they did. They did have a few limited releases...The Truth single, The Ryde Dyvine single, Gold Nigga cd, and Together single.
Some cool stuff that I remember are canes from the Alphabet St video, My Name Is Prince chain hat, gold rings that were made to order, like the ones Prince and the NPG wore in the Love 2 The 9's video, a yellow cloud guitar, the thunderbird from the Lovesexy tour, a lot of 8X10 color and black and white photos, some proof sheets of photos taken by Jeff Katz of Prince where he had circled the pictures that he liked (those were abruptly removed after Prince found out they were selling them). A friend of mine bought one, from a photo shoot during the Graffiti Bridge era.
Upstairs they had a room for viewing videos, where they showed the Sacrifice of Victor, the Undertaker, 3 Chains O' Gold, the Detroit Parade show, the Lovesexy show, and some unreleased videos.
In the main part of the upstairs they had one of the motorcylces, can't remember if it was the Purple Rain or Graffiti Bridge one. The coolest thing for me was outfits from the Sign O' The Times and Lovesexy tours. When they were showing the Lovesexy ones, I sooooo wanted to grab the Bob George long coat and run for my life!
The only artist that I can remember doing an in store appearance was Mavis Staples, the day after she did a show at Glam Slam. TRUE BLUE
