As yet unissued press release v1. 2/19/03 Paisley Park Enterprises.

Why would Paisley Park issue a press release starting... "Prince (the artist formerly known as the artist formerly known as Prince)"?

There's something strange in the neighbourhood? mr.green

track list seems pretty legit- but the "tell me something good" cover gives it away. as the man said himself, "anyone can play any song they want... chaka mad."

also, albums are NEVER- and i fucking mean NEVER released on thursdays, and may 29 is a thursday. they only get released on tuesdays. i dont give a shit if god himself is prince's new distributor, it ain't happenin'.
now i know what this is all about. now i know exactly what i am.

50 cent, and eminem before him, was a last ditch effort to get sales. both had huge songs on the radio and bootlegs selling like nickel beers. yeah, it makes an impact, but however, its a shot in the foot. you, essentially, have to hire drivers to make special trips from the pressing center/central warehouse to the distributers all over the US, at great financial cost. can prince afford to do this?

and for your information- 50 cent was officially released on a friday. some places decided to sell it on thursday and break the new, revised street date.

smartass. wink

Prince (the artist formerly known as the artist formerly known as Prince) will be releasing his new album "2 Thousand Free: The Revelation Year" on May 29. The album sees former purple protege Sheila E returning to the fold, in what is being touted as potentially his most commercial release in years. While still exhibiting the strong jazz influence of his last release "The Rainbow Children", the new album shows Prince at his most diverse, with tender ballads, zeppelin-esque rock riffs, and even a distinct nod to Santana on the instrumental "Open Letters". Also making a guest appearance on the preceeding single "Within" is none other than former rivals Jam and Lewis' R&B diva Janet Jackson. The album is still in the final stages of mastering, but the expected tracklisting is as follows;

1. 2003 (Enter-duction)
2. Come 2gether
3. Love Is The Law
4. New Life 4 Old
5. The Spiritual World
6. Within
7. The Work (Pt.II)
8. Open Letter
9. What Should B Souled?
10. Tell Me Something Good
11. Written On Your Heart
12. Harmony
13. Revelation (Rise Up)

lol

good one.

no really.

I heard the tracklisting went like this...

1. Watchtower Of Power
2. U Got The Good Book
3. Adore (2 door)
4. Irresistible Scripture
5. How Come U Don't Give Blood Anymore?
6. Rainbow Toddlers
7. New Power Translation
8. Witness 4 The Prosecution
9. Preacher, Preacher
10. Kingdom Hall My Dreams

HAHAHAHA! That is pretty clever. Come on now, for real, would this album sound any worse than new power soul? Joking aside, these fake titles give me more hope than some of Prince's past work! lol

The tip-off is that Prince/Paisley Park would never say Prince music is "Zeppelin-like" or odes to Santana- Prince's ego is too big and his time in music too long to be anything other than promoting himself as an "original"

Reading the second track on the first list got me thinking. A version of The Beatles song 'Come together' preformed by Prince. That would make my whole year. Take me away.

Hi everyone,

I am a new member on this homepage discussing Prince and his music. First off all, I think it is a great thing that we can share our meanings about this genius artist. But said that, I get kind off down by seeing many off the reply`s people has put in this forum. I think many off them are very negative towards other fans.

As an example of that is this reply`s about Prince is due to realise a nem album in may. Instead of feeling glad about it, people start making fun about the one who brought this topic in, saying it aren`t true. I just don`t get it. I really think that the ones who are so negative, should read "The Rules of the Discussion Forums" once again and really try to respect others meaning, and if they not agree that is allright, but try to keep it in a good tone.

To me, this is not what Prince is all about.

Bye for now.
