From the very first beat of the Linn1 drum machine, down to the vocals this track is dripping with funk! 
Don't need no reefer, don't need cocaine The Purple Music does the same 2 my brain and I'm high! The mega-catchy bass line do do do, do do do accompanied by the low key and very, very funky guitar scratches up and down the fretboard make this an all time classic Prince track, imho.

If you think you have the full track then check the length. I had the version on Jewel Box for years before I realised is was only half the song. Does anybody know the length?
