Can any1 confirm if Prince and Bootsy ever worked 2gether? Do they have any history 2gether? It just seems as if the 2 would make some serious funk 2gether. Prince has had some of the greatest bass players, from Brownmark, to Sonny T, Levi, Larry and now Ida. Thx in advance 4 any insights...both of these funkateers r legends in their own right.

thank you. part of me thinks they could produce great work 2gether, but another part wonders if Booty's personality might b 2 strong 4 Prince. but they seem 2 b on similiar cosmic trips tho. i just read:

BTW, there was some rumor that Prince was on Bootsy's 2002 album "Play with Bootsy", creditted as "One". Later these rumors prooved not to be true. However, the album definately has some purple sounding tracks...Check out "Groove Eternal":

I was just gonna say this. My sster produced that with Joel gallen directing. Ii was backstage as i was helping her with production stuff and i can say they were both complimentary to each other in conversation and had each had a reverence for one another. i saw Prince introdue Mayte to Bootsy as his wife. It was a great night. Backstage at the time also was none other then Michael Jackson and Barry Gibb, Diana Ross, Mavis, Tom Pettry\, Feliz Cavalieri fron the the Rascals who also lives in MPLS

that is the original reason why I asked. it's like the LG, Maceo and recent Prince trio. Bootsy, like George Clinton, is one of the pillars of funk...it would be great to hear his bass in the NPG mix
