Sign o the times or Purple Rain

Ive heard people SOTT as Prince's best album since PR (during that period of time)
But I wanted to know if others felt the the same way.

As for me I've only heard a bit of SOTT, and from what I've heard I'm sure that if I finished listening I'd go crazy over it. I mean, I have dream factory and Camille. Honestly, i love purple rain but, the album sounded better performed on concert than on record.

Well, u guys chat it out.
I'm sick and tired of making plans without making up my mind, teacher teacher can't u see I just need a little time.

RRA

If we're debating between the two, I say SOTT.

~But WAIT! Dream Factory runs in with the steel chair, decks SOTT, and places PR's unconcious body over SOTT for the 1-2-3 win.

SOTT...

The reason I'm a fan.

PR came out my senior year of high school, but I wasn't feelin' it.

It wasn't until I heard the song, SOTT on the radio that I said, "Hell yeah!"

"Love Hurts.
Your lies, they cut me.
Now your words don't mean a thing.
I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..."

I don't think it would be fair to compare these two albums, considering that one album has a lot more songs than the other.

Let me stop you right there.

If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

>I know that SOTT is basically dream factory and Camille. But there were more songs added besides those. I've only heard snippets of the whole album. I want to buy the album though.

SOTT hands down. I find that people who prefer PR do so because its more pop/rock influenced. IMHO SOTT is from the heart and contains the type of music P makes for his own enjoyment. PR was meant to make money.

I'M NOT SAYING YOU'RE UGLY. YOU JUST HAVE BAD LUCK WHEN IT COMES TO MIRRORS AND SUNLIGHT!

SOTT for me. PR is brilliant, but it's probably the least listened to P album I own.

Good music makes me happy.
