I hope Andy's not serious w/ her question to her FB friends. Prince should cut it out. It's embarrassing and juvenile to see a 53 yrs old man behave this way. He must be at a point in his life where he feels the need to go to these measures to keep fans talking about him. I think it's deceitful and wrong if Prince has allowed things like this to have gone on. He doesn't care about fans who could have been hurt. Nah, i doubt Prince has deliberately cultivated fanatics, he hates fans as we all know....

His way is just to remain mysterious and let other people speak for him....but prince has no control over prince.org or Andy's FB, so it's not really his fault if he has fanatical people on there.

He does cultivate the womaniser image, and Andy's comments make me suspect its more of an act to keep up with the image people have of him / keep people interested...

I totally agree w/ you. If he really looks at it, letting other people speak for him and remaining mysterious hasn't worked out well for him in the long term. He's been doing it so long and living the life of a rock star for 30 yrs and he thinks some of his fans are stupid. I don't think he hates his fans. It's a good thing Prince has no control over prince.org or Andy's FB. He'll quickly get to see how it all plays out w/ their fans. I'll be watching.

Yeah I didn't friend her either. I find out quick enough through the Org what she's posting and if I want to, I can go look at her FB page for myself since it's open to the public.

They could be the same guy but it could be a totally different guy named Terrance in Texas. Formallypickles mentioned his username on another thread. He's been banned but a few years ago he paid Dez Dickerson, Dr. Fink, and Prince's sister to do a show in Houston, TX. Prince's sister Tyka didn't seem to care that the guy was on the internet pretending to be her brother. I guess her and Prince's ex-band members only cared about the money this crazy fan was offering them. It's a shame what people will do to get the fan's attention and money.

Prince said the internet is dead but it's not. He needs an official twitter or FB profile to help prevent this type of activity but he still doesn't have one. How can he think it's better for him to remain mysterious and let psycho fans speak for him? His rep Kiran, NPG backup singers, his sister Tyka, her husband Reese, and other Prince associates were informed. I know this for a fact bcuz I was one of the people who informed them. One of them told me they didn't want to throw him under the bus. They showed a total lack of concern for the fans. I found it to be alarming. Tamar Davis was appreciative and thanked me for informing her. It seems to me Prince and his close associates have been aware by others but he hasn't stopped them bcuz these fans help Prince keep his fans speculating. In the long run I think it's bad for business. It would be horrible if Prince allows his fans to be tricked by delusional fans who want to live vicariously through him. An official FB profile or twitter is the simple solution. It would help Prince and his fans but it seems obvious to me the deception, lies, and surprises are a big part of Prince's PR tricks.

He apologized in the beginning of the interview for his appearance. He said he didn't get any sleep and he said he was wearing Andy's boots. He didn't offer up an explanation but I think it was just another one of his juvenile PR tricks.
