Why isn´t sign o´ the times in ONA Live

I was at the copenhagen concert and personnaly thought that sign of the times was one of the highlights of the concert. Wonderful remake of the song. I also read most of the reviews from the entire tour, and most of them wrote about sign o´the times as one of the higlights of the concerts.

Am I wrong?

I was at the Copenhagen concert as well .. .. I thought it was great he did "sign o the times" at the concert.. and I honestly think "Sign O the times" should have been on the Box-set as well.. I dont know why its not on the box set?

Hopefully there will be an ONA Live European box set as well, just for the sake of balance.

IMO the best version of any song he performed from the 1980's this time around. In fact id say he played the best ever versions of SOTT on euro ONA tour.

THis is an excellent argument for collecting bootlegs. After you buy all the official stuff and you still dont have everything you want, boots can be the answer. I would sek out the boot of that gig

he did more classics & old goodies
in europe than in the states which was more
"Rainbow children" material.
I saw the Stockholm concert & "Sign of the times"
was definitly 1 of the highlights.
also his version of "The ladder".

Well you have to look at it from an editing stand point. The ONA live album was already finished by the time Prince was doing the European leg of the tour. If you look at the liner notes all the tracks are from the American leg of the tour (I think). Personally I think that he should have waited until the end of the tour before doing the ONA live album. I have 10 ONA shows on boots and from my view the shows are better towards the end of the tour. It give P and the band more time to get comfortable with one another on stage.
My DC Direct wishlist: 1) Bane, 2) Prof Zoom, 3) Superman Blue, 4) Kilowag, 5) Parasite

Definately!-The version in Paris on Oct 28th, and Manchester 8th Oct kicked ass-VERY bassy and moody!!.
Also think that whole versions like The Beautiful Ones, would have been brilliant on the ONA album.

You're quite right, the tracks on ONAL are from the American leg of the tour. Which is why it would make a great deal of sense for Prince to release another ONA Live set that includes material from the European/Japanese leg of the tour, especially bearing in mind that the shows were indeed getting progressively better towards the end of the tour. So it isn't too late to consider the option of releasing the remaining shows as part of another ONA Live set. I'm sure few fans would have any complaints about that idea.
