UK BBC Radio 1 playing Prince bootlegs! Maceo Matt told me ?uestlove was covering for Giles Peterson on BBC Radio 1 last week, and played a Prince piano "demo".
Sure enough if you go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/radi...0213.shtml Listen to the show, fast forward to about 1hour 15mins and he uses Purple Music/So High as background music. ?uest found a Prince "demo" CD on the floor It's even documented as "So High" in the shows track list. I bet ?uest has been waiting for someone to report this on the org! Jon

Purple Music is an EXCELLENT piece of music. So funky it's untrue. It's almost always on my mind. I'd dream of hearing the Radio One stuff but I'm in Thailand right now and can't.
Anyway, respect to Purple Music!

It was the piano version, not the studio out-take. --------------------

radiostation 3FM (non-commercial and very popular) in Holland plays Prince music every day and happen to play bootleg material when there's a reason.
They played a 1 minute snippet from the 1993 Bataclan aftershow during a news item on the Nighttown concert. They've played the complete Xpectation album as well. ...and they played the 'Osama Bin Laden's getting ready to bomb' part from the Utrecht aftershow. After that they called Candy to explain it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
....and remember: Members get to hear it last
