WOW.
Listening to the full, high quality version... LOUD. Through my studio monitors.
This is one of the funkiest things he has done. PERIOD.
Still got it all, Prince... NO one can touch that. "He's a musician's musician..." |

There is nothing on Condensate that is better than this here 7/10 Prince track. Anybody that is attempting to compare god awful Hey Yo to this must get checked out....and are confirming there sexual frustration with Prince that they must exercise on the Org. Imagine if Prince released Hey Yo.....
then anyone that thinks this song is funkier than anything on condensate just doesn't know funk period and if prince ever did release something like hey yo then maybe he might be onto something again but it's release after release of late that show how much he's lost it man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81 |

Yeah, okay. We got somebody else on this board that has been positively confirmed for crack use, L4OA!!! You don't think there's anything on "Condensate" that's better than this piece of trash Prince unleashed on the world?? Let's see...here are the tracks on the album that COMPLETELY blow Extraloveable 2011 away:
If I Was Yo Man
Faithful
Sick
Condensate
Strawberry Lake
Lifestyle
Toast To The Party Girl
AYDKMN
GoHomeToYoMan
#Trendin'
O7ven Press Conference
Role Play
O7ven (intro)
Cadillac
One Step
Hey Yo only marginally beats Extraloveable 2011. It doesn't quite blow it away like the rest of the tracks on the album.
damn bro u even said the intro is better than extraloveable and u ain't lyin either man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81 |

That last part was a joke (at least on part, because his name was one of the first that sprang to mind because I KNOW for a fact he was around then and still is now and IS able to answer the question; the joke comes in because I know for a fact you'd NEVER ask him).
There were plenty of others who remarked the same thing (as what I mentioned). It was said because multiple people were saying they had listened to the albums a few times within the very same afternoon, trying to decide if they liked it or not. And that seems to happen often around here after a release, be it album, random one-off, etc... And since you said you did indeed look, you actually poured through every post regarding his new releases within the past 2-3 years?? Now, I rest MY case. Because I know it happened; I read it for my damn self. There's no need for me to be making shit up. It benefits me NOT one bit.
It does benefit you because all you do is post negative, which you have every right to btw, so yes unless you back your shit up then you are making it up or overexaggerating on what a few people, if that much, posted, so you have not rested your case. from people that I talk to i don't get a sense that most embrace the output of associate music other than sheila e, jesse johnson and now O7 and FDeluxe leans towards favorable, with some who thinks its okay, and some don't like it at all. regardless the few i speak to, i would not run with it and say the majority feels that way. my search did not turn up the overwhelming responses you stated. We can take this to Org note privately so this thread can get back on topic and you can point me in the right direction via Orgnote, on where to look to support your claims.

I feel the same way G7....
This updated version sounds like a straight up Jamie Star cut. I actually prefer the new vibe to the former. I hardly understand the backlash against this banger. But to each his/her own... |

Hey Yo sounds like something Nelly would do, what would he be onto with a song like that? this is what i was eluding to earlier before the warnng was posted. If prince released Hey Yo I swear yall would be trashing it. anyway I would take ExtraLoveable over Hey Yo but the rest of the Condensate tracks I definately prefer.

iTunes in Canada, France and The Netherlands has it at 192kbps, UK iTunes is at a 256kbps bitrate, still shite, but it'll do till a lossless version crops up.
It's on Spotify too.

Absolutely.
I've re-played this cut over and over and over. And each listen confirms my prior suspicion that this is the funkiest cut that he's released in a long time. And it should be: the root of the song is 'Extraloveable'! It just flows 'better' than the original in that the attitude has been readjusted to reflect the Prince of 2011.
I actually think that Prince 2011 is capable of creating sounds that equal or surpass his older works. I know that I may be in the minority in that regard. |

Sometimes I like not being all into bootlegs.
So when Prince has a "new" song, my opinion is not already colored by years of hearing something that I was not supposed to hear anyway
This Extralovable might be horrible compared to the old version, but it sounds like a new song to me. And it sounds like one that is not too bad (from the snippet I heard)
There's not a fan worth their salt who aint listened to and owns a ton of bootlegs. Its a Prince staple. That went for everyone and still does. Including his ex-wife, funkenberry, Ms Adams, etc etc. Boots are what kept some folks around, what made them more of a fan, made them support, and now..yes...gave them some quasi-sense of entitlement.
Betta get with the program
yeah I'll be sure to get on that |

Okay I just heard the full song. I have to say that this song is fantastic. I feel bad for saying that it was a sort of geriatric funk when I had only heard the sample. I think it was just the shock to the ears when compared to the original. I really love this song. Prince did his thang on this one. I can't wait until I can buy it in the U.S. |

My God....the delusion of Prince Fanatics has reached new highs....
It's this kind of Yes man behaviour that made Prince's quality control go right out of the window...
Have you even listened to the original?!?!?
