I had the same experience with my teens. They liked "Hey Yo" the most on Condesnate. Then they went on Youtube looking for a video, but of course there isn't one.

This Extralovable might be horrible compared to the old version, but it sounds like a new song to me. And it sounds like one that is not too bad (from the snippet I heard)
There's not a fan worth their salt who aint listened to and owns a ton of bootlegs. Its a Prince staple. That went for everyone and still does. Including his ex-wife, funkenberry, Ms Adams, etc etc. Boots are what kept some folks around, what made them more of a fan, made them support, and now..yes...gave them some quasi-sense of entitlement.

That last part was a joke (at least on part, because his name was one of the first that sprang to mind because I KNOW for a fact he was around then and still is now and IS able to answer the question; the joke comes in because I know for a fact you'd NEVER ask him).
There were plenty of others who remarked the same thing (as what I mentioned). It was said because multiple people were saying they had listened to the albums a few times within the very same afternoon, trying to decide if they liked it or not. And that seems to happen often around here after a release, be it album, random one-off, etc... And since you said you did indeed look, you actually poured through every post regarding his new releases within the past 2-3 years?? Now, I rest MY case. Because I know it happened; I read it for my damn self. There's no need for me to be making shit up. It benefits me NOT one bit.

I completely agree. Condensate to me is at best a "whatever" album. No something I will ever turn to again. Nothing terrible, but not great to me in an sense of the word. Same with anything from any of the associated artists.
Extraloveable to me is only bad becasue he took something original and vibrant and sucked all of that out of it and replaced it with the hokeyness of the bland and uninspired that Prince was the antithesis of.
Anyone ever notice how the balanced posts on threads like this get ignored? Or how mods don't step in to get the thread back on track?
