The solo at the end of Empty Room from C-Note. The song is fantastic but that solo is played with such pain and passion. It's so raw that it's as of his heart was just broken before he walked on stage. I think it helps my love of the song to know it was performed this way at a soundcheck. I heard the bootleg of that soundcheck and I know it's the real deal and not some of Prince's magic overdubbing he loves so much. Just beautiful... | |
