Yep. They're the same song with different lyrics. Just like country music.

These two songs actually kind of make me mad - Prince is much too talented to be doing paint-by-numbers songs like these.

I can't make it through more than five seconds of either, so I can't tell you whether they're the same or not. But I hate them equally.

I hope that helps.

I can't believe the lack of love around here for On the Couch. C'mon!

On the Couch is in the top 10 Prince songs of the 2000s. There, I said it.

"Love Jones is on the TV again, baby

I wanna go down south"

"Love & honesty, peace & harmony"

These songs are both ok. They are GREAT compared to a lot of the un listenable garbage he's been releasing lately. On the Couch is good but in my mind is more of a jazz humor track in the vein of "Three Handed Woman" or "Prettyman" or "My Medallion"

I perfer Satisfied as I think it's a more finished and polished version of On the Couch

Regardless of what seems to be total dislike on this thread for these two songs, they are actually some of his best slow jam work in the 2000's they are great! Mature sexy! Besides Future Soul Song they are his best in a while.

I'm probably in a minority here, but I would give that trophy to the MPLSound version of Ur Gonna C Me (sp?).

Totally agree!

This is the best song of the album for me. I love that jazzy feeling.

ONA version is the bomb. So tender & aching.

MPLSound version is just ok. Why did the chorus suddenly become cheery? Strange. Still, the strength of song holds it up.

By him making it all cheery on mplsound it just ruins the song.

I like both tracks and they do flow well back to back. Similarly, 'Still Waiting' and 'Gotta Broken Heart Again'' from the early days

On The Couch is much better than Satisfied. However they both sound like filler tracks. As if he recorded them both in one day. He could record songs like this every day. Nothing too special.

But I love the lyrics:

"Four play starts in the mind." Haha

These two songs are related, in every sense. They both have a gospel churchy feeling. The organ, and the sexy jazz skill.

Dislike those two songs pashionately. Shitt is boring. So he sings about sleeping on the couch and getting satisfied and both songs sound the same in a bad way. No wonder Mani´s been givin it to Eric Benet. He probably some real fucker too. Real stud.

Why you wanna come up with some half assed shitt if she knows what you were capable of back in the day? Better come up with the realness and show peeps how it´s done, right ? Some hardcore true bad to the bone cold electronic funk that only Prince can create but nooooooo, he´d rather write some bullshitt tunes like that.

Shitt is boring...embarrassing tunes. Old folks shitt. Back inthe day he´d come back with a vengeance these days this is what he comes up with? But y´all know back in 2000 when Dangelo was number one Prince couldn´t do much either..came up with some You make my Sunshine ..like....Angelo copying Prince and P copying Angelo copying Prince...haha ha ah ha...

Get real man. Show´em how it´s done like back inthe day.

I've dated outside of my race and I discovered that Good Pussy is Good Pussy and Good Booty is Good Booty regardless of ethnicity...I don't have a Fetish for only Big White Tits, Big White Butts or Phat White Pussy.(chancellor) smile wise man !
