Definitely Disc 1.It's the most consistent disc and I can listen to it all the way through without having to skip over songs.
Disc 2 and 3 are cool but they have a few dreadful tracks on them.

Crystal Ball is not an "Album", or a well-concieved "Project"...
Crystal Ball was just an experiment to gauge the level of interest $$$ vault stuff could fetch Crystal Ball has no theme or track segue that jives; it's a mish-mash of odds and ends. Some songs deserved a more cohesive and release on a better thought-out release; some songs should still be in the vault. The 90's material doesn't mesh well with the 80's material at all. Crystal Ball had space of 20:00 left on each disc, so he could have been more generous in it's content.Or reduced it to a 2-cd set. I cannot see how you can say one disc is so much better than another; it's a hodge-podge. This album is for Prince fans only. Curiously, "The Truth" is a better cd, because it's unified in tone and musicianship. Like most good Prince albums.

the best disc is the third. However only the "truth" disc i can hear from the begginining to the end. The rest of the discs bore me. And i think it's a shame "the truth" wasn't released by itself. It kinda got lost in "CRystal ball" and that's a shame 'cause it's great music
