12 years gone I just got back into Prince after about 12 years. I used to have every recording he released from '77 to '91. Diamonds and Pearls disappointed me greatly, I gave him another chance with the symbol album. No. This was NOT what I wanted to hear. I hated the "rap" parts, I thought they sucked (still do), hated the genericness of it all. 11 years later, on a whim, I decide to check out TRC. I was totally blown away! To me, this is the next logical progression (not REGRESSION like most of his '90s output-IMO) to his music after Lovesexy. So I have now re-aquired all the stuff I used to have, including all the 12" remixes. I have burned myself a 3-disc set of 12"s and other songs. I wanted to share the tracklist with you, this pretty much sums up the type of Prince music I love.

There's a rift out in space, and it could be the door, but you know I'm not sure. | |

Welcome Back! Yes it's true TRC is the Best material since SOTT. If you have not checked out The Gold Experience you have to. It was like nothing else he did in the 90's
Good luck though, it's pretty hard to find RIAA 'nuff said. "So strange that no one stayed at the end of the Parade..." - Wendy & Lisa's "Song About" on their 1987 self-titled album.
RIAA 'nuff said. | |
