Violet The Organ Grinder, the production and remix is magnificent. Inevitably its place is on a gett Off remixed Cd, u can tell where it it gets its infulence from.

lol, and people make fun of the Time with 'Trendin' - Cybersingle was / is truly one of the worst / least cedible songs he's ever made. An old man trying to be hip and missing by a mile. File it next to 'High' ![anyone remember that dud!]

As for Violet...where do you begin? - just an epic, sexy trak that other artists can only dream of delivering. Pure genuis.

I agree with all of u, dat Violet The Organ Grinder, is much better sounding then cybersingle and all round better song. With Cybersingle its a risk that paid of, 2 me, but no way better than Violet The Organ Grinder.

I wish we had a better copy of Cybersingle, the fact that it was released as a shitty 128 MP3 never helped (at least it wasn't Real Audio, *ahem, One Song*).

I think Cybersingle was the first time he started using that awful production technique that I can't quite describe, but is used on Lolita, Compassion, The Morning After, and some others from the last decade. Something about the drums or synth stabs...

Violet The Organ Grinder, on the other hand, is awesome - I remember picking up the maxi back in the day and thinking it was the greatest thing of all time. Still kinda do.

Cybersingle looks straight forward, but i like the rap, but i must admit its very general, not complicated.

But everyone loves Violet The Organ Grinder. Deserved.

Ugh....why did you have to remind me about "High"?! If Cybersingle was a mis-step (which it was), High was a stumble in to a chasm! Horrible synth sequence, weak vocal, awful lyrics - a truly vapid work. I'm glad it was never properly released.

Its ok, even the best make something that isn't very good once in a while and Prince's ratio of gems to turds is way better than most.

I was so glad to see that video of Violet because his and the videos' look harkened back to the 1999/Automatic era imo.

Violet is so sexy - the song and the video. I used to wear my VHS tape of the Gett Off Remixes out, that one and the house mix where he is in the white suit, in particular. Prince looked unbelievably good in those videos. Oh, but Violet! Him with the police hat with chains in the cage with the sistas and him on that bed. There is a part where he pumps that bed in Violet that drives me wild to this day! Sheer sexiness personified!

I have to go watch that now!
