I would rather Prince produce and work with Janet in the studio on a song for HER next album, not be featured in the song WITH her, as in a duet or featured with her in any video shot to promote the song.
I'm a bit tired of featuring and guest appearances in the pop and hip-hop world. I'd be content with just knowing they worked together writing and producing it. Janet's image and delivery are hers. Just my opinion and 2 cents. | |

I think it would suck myself. I quite like some of what janet jackson has done, but she wouldnt work well with where Prince is at right now. Back in the mid-80's maybe but not now.
Mariah Carey & Prince...that would've sucked big time. She's done nothing of any merit for a good number of years and has completely undone the reputation she built for herself as being a quality singer. Now she just whines into the microphone...no passion and no soul. A good voice is not just about range, its about quality and delivery. Without this her songs are pretty light weight, and she's just turned into some kind of Pamela Andersdon parody. She needs to go away somewhere quiet and get her act together. And as for Mariah... I don't know what to say for her. I think that right now she is just trying to get her fans back and go to her old ways of singing. I think it was a bad idea for her to have sang with rappers. Just my opinion. Dreaming permits each and every one of us to be quietly and safely insane every night of our lives.

I love the idea! Of course, it is most likely BS, but fun to think about anyway. Janet does have a lot of funk in her and has already shown that she can get down with some loud guitar. Janet is, however, a pretty nasty girl these days so i doubt that would happen (...but then again, there were the recordings with Eve...) | |
