This is my favorite. I love it because it reminds me of the poem "Unending Love" by Rabindranath Tagore. Does Prince often sing about his muse? Maybe muse is not the right word. Does he sing about a love that he is searching for? Can you please tell me the titles of the songs? Thanks!

This song sounds like a "gigolo song" to me ( that's how i call them when he sings that way).And I can't stand it.Sorry..

I believe that Prince quietly acknowleges his muse in the song, "She Loves Me 4 Me."

Prince seems to confess that his soul wished for the muse of his heart...and the feeling that he found his muse is laced throughout his body of work.

You guys are GREAT.

I always felt this song was inspired by Amy Winehouse's slow jams, such as Love is like a Losing game, that were especially popular around that time.

It also reminds me slightly of 'What Do you want me 2 do?' from Mcology.

Definitely listen to the Emancipation album... tons of great love songs on there, such as: "Soul Sanctuary" (he didn't write this, but it's my favorite love song of his), "Dreamin' About U", "The Holy River", "Saviour" ... All are great songs and hopefully what you're looking for.

Depends how you intepret it. I see it as more of a layered piece.

I thought it was dedicated to a lover that nobody knows about.

I don't know Rabindranath Tagore, I'll check the poem out.
