The "X" album...

kicks major tail!! Prince really plays the stuffings out of that guitar nod This is the type of music my Mom and Dad used to play in the house throughout my childhood years so hearing it was very nostalgic. Candy is wonderful and Vanessa's little touches are elegant and refreshing.

A while ago, someone tried to compare the "X" album with "Kama Sutra"...no comparison. And I don't think the Madhouse albums would count in comparison. The "X" album ranges with them, even though Madhouse 8 and 16 (never heard 24) were SUPA FUNKY!!

Just lovin' the music...

I think it's one of those albums where everyone says "yeah, it's good, but it's not his best stuff", but over time, people will always come back to it!

"X" ... pectation is Prince's best instrumental release to date. The Madhouse albums, for the most part, sound like backing tracks he couldn't be bothered to write lyrics for and "Kamasutra" is a very pleasant one time listen. "
