Does Prince Still Do After Party Shows ? Question... does Prince still do after concert performances / parties or turn up at clubs in days prior to or after concerts ? Reason I ask is that last time he came to Canada in 2002, he turned up at a lot of different clubs in the days following his concerts and jumped up onstage with bands in those cities and jammed with them. Did he do these things when he was touring for 'Welcome to America' ?? | |

I know he was at C Lounge, but I guess he did that here cause of living here. I abstained from clubbing during that time or I would have gone. Would I go now if he did it? Hell yeah! | |

It depends... last summer he didn't do aftershows regurarly but it was very logical: he mostly did close to 3hour shows.. so that's a lot!
in 2010 i went to 2 aftershows in europe .. and that's mostly because the shows were closer to 2hours than 3.. | |

That's actually a better question than I first thought. He did his famous Melkweg shows of course, but that was only because he was in Holland earlier than planned: the planned shows in Norway were posrponed because of the terrorist attack there. And the Melkweg had nothing planned those nights and offered itself to Prince as a rehearsal space. And so one thing led to another. But it was not a real aftershow, more of a "preshow" since the one the early hours of Tuesday preceded the big show on Tuesday night. Anyway, once Prince hits Canadian soil, keep checking the concert forum so that if he does play a surprise gig, you find out in time! Basically, all you need to get to a club show is patience and money. Good luck!  | |
