In the early days Prince was a gadget freak.

he updated his keyboards,drum machines and other instruments with everything that was new and cutting edge at the time.

1999 was one of the first mainstream albums to be

made completely with the linn drum machine.

When did Prince loose interests in obtaining new equipment ,

when did he loose his interest in electronic music?

During recent performance of Ohio Player's track I Want To be Free

Prince chants negative things about techno music,but in the past he was techo funk artist.

Maybe he just lost the glow of it because he might of had seen it as 1st superficial, then as irritating?

So maybe, his level of verbal & mental insistence may often be so high that others become fatigued or overwhelmed by the barrage?

Maybe it was peer pressure of some kind?

Maybe some1 was blaming him, that kind of music was no good?

He talks with instruments yes,but what made him Prince as we know him is a combination of organic and electronic

For example 1982-1985 period Prince was doing cutting edge things with his sound that wasn't based on organic sound.

But in the 90's and 00's everything Prince did in electronic field sounded forced,out of touch and like his heart wasn't there

I beg 2 differ because the example of 82-85 was organic, sounds were created like no other.

90's & 00's are oragnic also, the problem was he wasn't organized yet, he was getting though.

Things meld over the long haul, he did have the right idea, IMO.

I feel Prince had very scrupulous type people around him at those times, pretending 2 give a "sympathetic" view point, Prince always looks 4 feedback.

Or he could of gotten carried away with what his desire was back then.

Maybe others had little 2 say, they didn't want 2 devote time in2 listening to it.

So many questions 2 ask.

He used technology to be different, just like in the 90s when he had "real" musicians. He said as much in an interview. He claimed his strategy was to do the opposite of what was happening at the time. He said he noticed everyone was using computers in the 90s so he threw his to the curb and got a band. He was a reactionary. I don't know what he is now.

Also, I think the learning curve has gotten too steep for the amount of time, (very little) he likes to put into a song. His compulsion to finish a song in the studio the same day he starts it doesn't work well with having to hunt and peck at keys to edit a drum track on the computer. Hell, he didn't even use ProTools until Scrotus Flow3r and even then he just used it as a replacement for tape, not for and editing abilities it might have offered him.

Prince's stragedy should be important career decisions.

His finger is on the pulse, planned out & verbalized.

Hr has to play at this juncture because it is about critical thinking &

a concomitant ability 2 express ideas in written & verbal form &

it becomes increasingly important thru his compositions.

He is music.
