Can Prince make ANYTHING sound good??? .
I'm sitting here listening to "Go" - you know, that horrible cassette tape dub from years & years ago. The quality is terrible, sound levels go up & down, it's a rehearsal so he's instructing all through it... "Higher, Lisa..." ... but he opens his mouth to sing... and I... IT  Simple melody, totally rough sounding, not the tightest rehearsal you've ever heard, it's not even a complete song from the sound of it. And I'm sitting here listening, diggin' it, loving it
It's not even a song he bothered to really record (to my knowledge, which is limited, lol). How can something be SO shitty yet so GREAT @ the same time??  Can this man make any & everything sound good??

I think after years of listening 2 bootleg recordings u become more able 2 disregard the sound quality and appreciate the songs. My copy of this particular song is at the wrong speed, so I have 2 make the "adjustment" when listening 2 it... Don't hate me 'cause I'm NOT beautiful | |

What speed is yours @?? Mine is faster than WILMHOY, slower than Supercute (can't think of a song @ the same speed)... It is easier to disregard the sound quality now  what I would give to get some of these songs clean I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! It is easier to disregard the sound quality now what I would give to get some of these songs clean It runs at about the same tempo as Pop Life when played on a standard cassette player that plays at the right speed. I have a cassette player with a pitch control so I always slow that down - that's the "adjustment" I was talking about. Don't hate me 'cause I'm NOT beautiful | |
