Cora is Stunning!

What a fantastic looking instrument [and good photography] how did you come to own this bass? and how old it is?

Thank you for the comment and appreciation. But after re-reading my post, I see it was not clear. The name CORA designates this style of bass as designed by Josh Dunham and Jens Ritter, not just one. Each one is custom built to your specs right down to the wood. Mine is almost a year old. I had to wait an extra 2 months to receive mine because I got "bumped" for Mary J Blidge. But it was all good in the end. This is the best feeling bass I habe ever held, and I have held a lot. I think there are around 15 that have been built.

It took me awhile to find one, just searched on google and ebay and found one on Amazon via google result, the only thing you can do is search regulary.

I ordered mine from Jack's music store last march but they didn't have any at the time and they told me they were making one last run of these guitars so I got it just under the wire and I ended up getting in in June. They may still have a few. http://jacksmusicstore.com/

@David 1974 where did u buy the lefthanded hohner????

I'm curious to how these Hohners sound. I know they're just built and look similar to Prince guitar, but the pickups and the electronics is probably different. How does it sound and feel compared to a fender telecaster at the same price? Do we pay extra money for the name and history of it?

@Digifuwill, nice guitar, I do like the way this re-issue uses a more vintage headstock decal and has the thin skunk stripe, nice looking guitar, are those pickguards single ply semi-transparent ?

Thanks, The pick guards are transparent.....you can see the wood grain through them You might not be able to tell but I haven't taken the protective covering off them yet....I'll wait until it starts to look a little rough before I do. I added the purple bling...lol Only temporary....no harm to the guitar!

The one thing that I didn't realize until I got it was that the trim is made out of the same material as the guards. It really sets off the whole guitar! You can't tell from a normal photo so you really have to see it in person to appreciate it.....I'll try to get a good photo of the trim and attach it!
