Does anyone know if The most beautiful girl in the world had a different video in U.K?

It's my earliest memory of Prince (I was 10 when it came out but I can remember it quite clearly), he wore dark red velvet suit surrounded by a misty/fluffy/cloudy white background.

It was played a lot as it was number 1 and was everywhere at the time.

I just watched it for the first time since then and it looked completely different.

Is my mind messing with me or was there another video being used in the U.K?

No, i think the UK had the regular Prince in red, looking like a vulcan, Shitney turning up for whatever reason video.

He did perform it on TOTP, think it was the Staxowax version.

Maybe it's just me then. I just got a really strong memory of sitting on my auntie's bed, watching a chart show and them announcing the number one and then the video came on. A close up of Prince laying on a cloud or surrounded by a swirling white background with the drak red vevet suit with all that make up on.

there are 3 circulating versions of the track

the normal version (which was in the beautiful experince tv special on sky one), the club mix (which was also on the sky one broadcast of TBE but not the C4 broadcast), and the staxowax version that was partly shown on TOTP, filmed at the same time as the endorphine machine video from the interactive cd rom, of which the full version is circulating from promo vhs. there are also promo vhs tapes of the original version (i'm sure i have a copy)

Yeah it was a special version for TOTP when he got to number 1 . It was a live version of the Mustang Mix recorded at the same time as the Endorphinmachine video found at the end of Interactive CD Rom.

My friend, a huge Prince fan, was in the audience that night at though hed got really lucky because the tickets were given away waaaay before Prince even released the single...everybody got really excited as a small figure, dressed in purple with lacy cuffs, surrounded by security was escorted to the stage....it was Toni Braxton
