What exactly does "Lemon Crush" mean? I read on urbandictionary that it means, "when you have a crush on a girl who happens to be a lesbian." Now I seriously doubt this is what P was talking about with this song, given, it was on the Batman soundtrack, and Vicky Vale was anything but a lesbian. After all, her character "liked Bats."

What is the story? I know some of the songs on the Batman album were re-worked demos of older songs P wrote, and some he wrote for the film. Anyone know the origin/meaning of this awesome jam?

lemon crush is one of my all time faves.. even tho some of the lyrics are clunkers.. the sound of it just knocks me out....

the harmonies.. that crazy cowbell sounding electronic percussion.... the chorus is killer.. and my favorite is when is guitar almost screams..its this one high pitched note that sounds like it is crying.. it kills me.

I love this song I only realised after playing it like a million times.

He also does this on the song Color for The Steeles on 1800NewFunk

Replace the word Color with Judge and again the song makes perfect sense

when I bougt the Batman cd back in 89, Lemon Crush was the song I liked the best of them all.

Now Lemon Crush is the song I like the least.

still...... Batman is such a fantastic cd. Love those songs.
