I've got Charade (the parade outtakes) on vinyl, and 'Heaven' is just amazing - it was a bonus track on my copy, recorded in France in 1986.

I'd love 2 know if any1 out ther has it on mp3.

man i wish warner released all the prince albums with the corresoponding b-sides and outtakes. it would make life so much easier.

Heaven is a raw classic! Just like kiss got beefed up. I think Heaven would make a classic single if he re-worked it!

Isn't this the same song as appears on 'The dream factory' but called 'a place in heaven' instead? get that if it is, it's a better sounding version.

'charade' is an old bootleg that sounds like crap.

You guys are talking about the uptempo song called "Heaven" and not the slow piano ballad called "A Place In Heaven",right? They are two different songs.

I'll have to pull out Per Nilsen's books to check,but wasn't "Heaven" recorded in 1985? For some reason,I always consider this song to be a "cousin" of "When Doves Cry".It's got that same hypnotic feel to it.

isn't it true that there's no COMPLETE version of this song? doesn't the circulating version start in the middle of a verse or something?

it's called Heaven, and is pretty up-tempo...not many lyrics, and quite elctric sounding. very mid-80's. it's real atmospheric too.

for some reason I thought HEAVEN was a 1999-era outtake. It certainly sounds like it was recorded during that period...

I love this song...I have it on the Charade album also, but I've never heard a full complete version of it. Pretty crappy quality too, but it doesn't make the song more difficult to love. The Charade album says it was recorded in Paris 1984, but I don't believe that. It sounds like 84, but Prince never went to Europe that year, or am I wrong?
