He has to be in shape with all that moving around and dancing on stage that he does. That is taxing on a body.

dancing don't make your biceps big and he don't dance on stage since 2001. You don't think that prancing act during kiss live is dancing

LOL.

Well, I have seen him 6 times this year and he did dance and move around, A LOT. Not really a choreography or something, just his own dance moves. Not only during Kiss. razz

So yeah, he definitely needs to be in shape.

Muscle definition is about a person's body fat percentage more than anything. (A majority of people have six-packs - they're just covered up by blubber.)

During Musicology, Prince was carrying more fat than he is now. (I'm not saying he was fat, per se - just that his body fat percentage was higher.)

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

^ This. Plus his tight frame and diet really allow is muscle structure to (almost naturally) be more visible.

That's bullshit

maybe a bullshit to you but look at his past dancing prince had killer timing and some very classy dance movie, very acrobatic style.i think he is underrated as a dancer, but on a good day prince was dancing so good.he had some injury because it's clear that when he "dances" now days prince is very static, and he's not old, james and many others did great stuff in their 60's. I'm sure there are orgers who are objective and share the same opinion because the way prince dance this day is not 10% of what he can do.

If you could do 10% of what Prince does at 53 at your own age now, I'd be impressed.

And, btw, James was not as "acrobatic" in his 60s as he was in his 30s. Hardly anyone is.

Luv4u is saying that he is working out. Meaning that in order to do what he's doing on stage he has to be in shape ie excersize.

And yes it's obvious that he's working out lately. Once a person/man hits 40 he starts loosing muscle mass, so you gotta stay in shape.

Same reason Michael had Lou Ferrigno training him for the shows he was going to do...

Prince barely moved at the 2007 Earth tour, the twins were (annoyingly and terribly) doing all the dancing. When seeing him again in 2010 and this 2011 he was really perky smiling and dancing away, he looked great.

He said it in an interview back then that in so many words 'stuff isn't as tight as it used to be' I also noticed at the ALMA awards with Sheila E that he had a littly belly on him. But he was dancing and moving all over the place on that show

I like Prince with a lil' more meat on his bones. He's simply eating healthy, getting in more protein, and vigorously exercising. Good for him! A healthy lifestyle helps maintain one's youth. Allegedly.

I'd definately say he's lifting weights. As he gets older, it probably isn't as easy to keep the weight off like it was when he was younger. He looks amazing whether he's buff or on the thinner side, which is what I prefer. His stomach and arms looks great these past couple years. But then again, that goes without saying....he's ALWAYS looked amazing, so its not surprising that he STILL is one sexy MF!

Prince is GORGEOUS. I'm inspired. GOD is GREAT. Is there anything else to say? lol

What did he say in a 2004 interview, "Who wants to see old skin?" I do! wave if it looks like THAT! That's pretty much his body shape from the Parade Era, just yummy....I love that he still goes COMANDO! Wonder what the Jehovah Witnesses have to say about that? Wonder if he wears draws when he's passing out Watchtowers?

wow, I'm impressed by Princes definition. I've worked as a personal trainer before and I've worked with people who have that natural "Ecto" type physique. Unfortunately usually when People like that hit their mid 40's they get a pooch they can't get rid of. Prince must be doing an awful lot of work to keep his mid-section that toned.

He's definitely filled out a bit more. He almost looks like a guy with medium bone structure lol
