Prince Incense...Follow-up Phillipg was kind enough to post this a couple of months ago: http://www.incense-salishwinds.com/
"They are the company that made the incense for Prince. I have ordered from them a many times, the only thing is they do not make the exact NPG fragrances anymore. The owner told me they were very expensive to make. I think the Graden Of Eden is the one closest to Play In The Sunshine".
I followed his lead and placed an order and whoa...it smells EXACTLY the same. I got so excited I had to fire off an email to the site owner.
Hi Stacia,
Years ago, being a big fan of Prince, I purchased quite a few things from his website. One of the best were these various incenses and oils. Soon enough, to my dismay, those items were no longer available. I remember going to his Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Aftershow Concert, and being within feet of him, and being able to smell him. He smelled otherworldly...and exactly like those incenses and oils I had purchased from the website.
Anyway, just recently I was going through old papers lying around the house and I came across the cloth wrapping the "Play in the Sunshine" incense came in. Inside was one stick...just one. Unfortunately the years had stolen its power and it only offered a shadow of its former self. But the tasteful cloth wrapper and attached label spurned me on a hunt. Every now and then I'd google Prince oils with no luck, but I was smart enough to google the incense this time which led to a forum for Prince fans that had a link to your site! (thanks AGAIN Phillipg) So today, I opened the box, and dove into the Garden of Eden incense, as the member had said it was close to the Play in the Sunshine fragrance. It truly is. Otherworldly...calming...pretty...luxurious...and just fantastic. So thank you so much! I don't know if you make the incense yourself, but you are doing great work. I'll be ordering again Warmest, Nobias So Stacia replied with this: Dear Nobias, Thank you so much for your beautiful letter! I can't tell you how affirming and heart warming it is to receive such eloquent and gracious praise. Salish Winds did relabel and supply Prince's incense and oils for around 4 years. We still carry it, only the names have changed. Gamillah is our Clary Sage; Here on Earth - English Ivy; Life Can Be So Nice - Jasmine; Beautiful Night - Sunset Meadow; Play in the Sunshine - Garden of Eden; and Cinnamon Girl is Cinnamon Twist. I would love to use your letter as a testimonial. Thank you for taking the time to write, your appreciation makes me love my business even more! Sincerely, Stacia
So, I say all this to say that if you were interested in getting more of that amazing incense you used to order back in the day, follow the link. It's some really good stuff. My nose is very happy right now.

OOOOO! Thanks so much for posting this! I too loved this incesne and was greatly disappointed when Prince's web store closed down. I kept the cloth wrappers just to get a wiff every now and again. Now I can order to my heart's content!

So far I've only tried the Garden of Eden incense and the Shahrazad oil but I intend to get em all. The Garden of Eden is very very nice. And the prices are way better than the old Prince website

You know you made me drop a fifty. I immediately went to the web site and went nuts ordering insense and olis. The owner should give you a finder's fee!

Thanks for this info!
I went through the process, adding all sorts of fragrances to my cart, only to discover at the end that they don't ship to Australia
US/UK/Netherlands only. Sadness! All countries are now listed
I've sent an email enquiring about other stockists. Fingers crossed there's a way to get them too me - they sound lovely
UPDATE:
I heard straight back from Stacia and she confirmed that she can in fact ship to Australia
So I'm going to order a few of them and if they are popular at the healing centre I run, I might end up becoming a stockist myself
Thanks again for the heads-up!

Awesome! I actually still have a few of them - four of the six kinds. If I'm not mistaken I got them during the O2 run in 2007. |

I use my Lampe Bergers often, so I don't burn incense much at all. I did, however, order the Garden of Eden incense (since it seems to get positive reviews) and one of each of the listed fragrances in the fragrance oil version.
I just received my order today. Garden of Eden ("Play in the Sunshine") smells awesome, as does Sunset Meadow ("Beautiful Night"). The others (e.g., Cinnamon Twist, English Ivy, etc.) are nice, but they smell like you would imagine they would since they're pretty universal fragrances.
Thanks Nobias for the posting this. I was always curious about the fragrances, but figured it was a lost cause!
I can definitly see myself re-ording the Garden of Eden and Sunset Meadow fragrances. I highly recommend them. "I Was FINE Back in the Day!"

I don't remember these. Does anyone remember his body oils from the early 90's? I loved insatiable. I wish that was still available. Used to buy it at his store near Calhoun Square. If it breaks when it bends, you better not put it in.

Just saw this thread, very happy I was able to help.
Your stuff smelled exactly the same? The incense I bought was a little different but the one I was comparing it to came in my Hawaii box set. I haven't smelled anything like it. I ordered a sampler pack from her and she gave me two of everything they offer. Garden of Eden is the joint though.
I think I'm going to be hitting Salish Winds up here soon.
