IN that is unlikely that 20 different people in your town bought the single in the first place, those used singles were probably left over promos that someone got a hold of and traded in ir the owner of the shop pciked up somewhere. The CD was not marketed and came out after the new year. It wasnt in stores enough to start with so the sales were probably poor. It was an obvious after thought that Prince had to fuck with WB. You cant count it as a serious release. WB, on the other hand, had plenty of muscle to push the original version and actually rereleased it to cash in.
