I do agree though, real collaborators would be welcomed. Of course it's more difficult to get another mature, respected artist to change their name and wear silly costumes, then ignore them completely when you get bored, so that's always a good reason why using wide-eyed pretty young girls is a good idea, besides the obvious

I actually heard of her on NPR before she was in Prince's band so it was cool to see she's part of the NPG now.

I have to agree. Her debut album is very good and shows some real potential. That's why I'm so disappointed that she is going the Prince protege route rather than pursuing a sophmore solo album that could properly introduce her into the mainstream arena.

Everyone needs to stop being so negative about Andy Allo. Anyone who has seen the bootlegs this summer knows that although she is no great guitar player, she really can sing and she certainly inspires Prince. I for one think the music they make together could be inspired and exciting and I'm looking forward to it. I certainly do hope it's something they do together though and not just an album Prince records and produces for her.
