I must admit, I did not leave that film with the same euphoric feeling I did when I watched Rocky. I did not want to beat anybody up.

Must be the music. I think the PR soundtrack drew the attention of lots of new fans. Can't say I blame them either. However, as I've mentioned before, my fandom began to wain once this movie peaked. As a pre-PR fan, it was like, now the cat was out of the bag. The exposure must've been great for Prince. As a fan, how could I not have been happy for him? | |

Purple Rain the music album was a blast. The movie was nice but the music is Prince's claim to fame.
And by the way, in my opinion John Travolta looks like a Gorilla.

But was the music that powerful that it managed to get people to sit through that movie, and enjoy it?
