So I just got back from NYC and as I walked up and down the streets of Times Square it was hard not 2 realize that all of these shows were all based off of "pop culture" hits from the past. Spiderman , The Addams Family , Mary Poppins , Lion King , Wicked , Mamma Mia , Grease the list goes on and on. I am pretty sure someone has brought this idea already 2 Prince about bringing Purple Rain - The Musical 2 Broadway and I'm almost sure Prince said no way in hell, but I think he should reconsider. Purple Rain - The Musical could really be a cool thing not only 4 fans & 80's babies , but 2 let a whole different generation of young and old be exposed 2 the power of Purple Rain. The battle of bands between The Revolution and The Time , The girl caught in the middle , The family drama and of course the redemption of the finale. The show could not only use the original 9 songs from the soundtrack , but add in songs like Erotic City, How come U don't call me any more , 17 Days , Irrestible Bitch and She's Always in My Hair. The Time could add Gigalo's get lonely Too and Chili Sauce. Appalonia 6 could add Nasty Girl and The Glamerous Life 2 their set. The list of posibilities go on and on. Bottom line this could b a real hit and nice spotlight 4 Prince 2 b in.

Add If The Kid Can't Make U Come and then we'll call it a deal. Remove Irrestible Bitch though because so much more 1999-ish. But HCUDCMA Is a perfect song about the movie
