In the beginning is he saying Mayte and Manuela look alike lol? If that's the case this entire song is kind of a direct stab at Mayte's heart isn't it =( Anyway I'm probably only one on the website but Planet Earth is one of my favorite albums of Prince. It starts out very strong and it has a beautiful smooth flow. Future Baby Mama is very "typical" Prince ballad track of 2000's for me. Love it.

datdude said: Huge yea! Glad it won a grammy, SHOE is the better ballad even though they're way different. FBM is well sung and arranged. I love the "slang" doesn't deter from the track IMO. P still has it! Shoe? What album is that on?

Yay all the way, great vocals. Not sure it belongs on Planet Eartt though.

That is one of the most accurate statements about P, simply said, I've read in a long time. BTW welcome to the Org. It is a good place to be even if you have to deal with people who don't agree with you. Speak your mind, have a thick skin, don't take it too seriously, and you will do fine. Just a quick note on this song-
I work at Starbucks, and the store has a pretty massive music database with various playlists. Every now and then Prince will pop up - in the past I've heard Call My Name and Musicology, but yesterday I heard a familiar Linn drum...
I couldn't believe it.
There was a line out the door, but I ran to the back room anyways. To see if it was.
And it was, Future Baby Mama.
Talk about a DEEP cut.
Needless to say, I was groovin' and making lattes.

Funny that everyone's just answering yea or nay, all normal-like, w/o recognizing how strangely you started this thread (johnart's the only one to recognize you two are "freakyasses"). I'm surprised to see NewYorkMike on here and not on any of the Andy threads. You must still think you're the futurebabymama.
