Thanx to everyone on here who are taking this serious and are helping me with suggestions, I have taken them all on board. Thank you.

Would something like campaigning for a strike work? Like if I got a bunch of co-workers(Prince fans asw well) of mine and we held up picket signs outside the white house to get attention and get this nationwide coverage...would that work?

I am just buzzing with ideas right now. I will let y'all know with updates. Thanx again to everyone trying to help me with this.

and of course this thread can't be taken serious, because the initial question it's complette nonsesne: first of all a Holyday for a Person is impossible aslong this person is alive and we have only 356 days in the year.

Many of them are already reserved to much more important people (Jesus, santa clause, easter rabbit etc. etc.) maybe you noted already? all -jesus excluded- are dead since ever. Even John Lennon, Michael Jackson or Elvis Presley don't have a National Birthday and all of them are much more important in History then (y)our Princie . . .

So if every Gaga-Fan will a Holyday for his object of desire . . .

and: who should pay this day(s)? i assume despite your salary should be untouched . . .?

Thank you for your input and the the time you took to post that, there are some very good points.

But personally, I feel what I plan to do is right. I think Prince deserves it ( i don't care if he is a JW), I also think Prince fans deserve it too, a day to celebrate our favorite musician without nobody bothering us and a day to share that music with our families. Prince is the greatest artist ever...with all due respect, he is the only musician that deserves this.

Just another point u made that I want to quickly touch upon, Prince still has a large fanbase and a lot of interest. A lot of his videos on the internet get a million+ views. He still has millions of fans. He still sells out shows worldwide and lets not forget that only as recent as 2006 that Prince had a no.1 album with 3121.

I'm 99% certain that this is a troll thread. If it's not then the OP needs a serious reality check.

I've seen some crazy shit on here but this is one of the best

I am not a troll, I have been on this site for 3 years and have never posted a troll thread, so why would I do it now? I am serious!

Prince has given me so much joy in my life and to millions of other people that I think this is the appropiate way to honor him.

OK I accept he may not wish to celebrate his birthday, we can always change the date to something like when his debut album 'For You' was released. The day Prince's gift was introduced to the world.

And there is nothing wrong or disrespectful for celebrating a day for someone. If that was the case, then they should abolish award shows and special tributes to musicians at ceremonies.

I personally think Prince is just that far ahead of everyone musically that he deserves a day in his honor.
