Correct answer was I Can't Make You Love Me, which was recorded by Bonnie Raitt (who worked with Prince on aborted album), covered by Prince on Emancipation, and also done instrumently as recorded by Candy Dulfer (who has toured with Prince extensively).

Tough trivia, as one assumes it would be a Prince-penned track and that at least one of the versions would be covered by a protege Prince act. Thanks Erik for participating.
