After the North Sea Jazz Festival I met a girl who loved it that he played Cream because it was the song that got her hooked on Prince. So what's annoying to one person can feel good to somebody else. There you go, a positive note! But as for annoying songs, for me the all time winner (or loser) is, I can't say it enough, the oh oh oh oh oh oh of Johnny.. It's another one of his sex songs that he stopped playing. So the JWs were good for something after all. | |

Glam Slam is good. It only got annoying when he started recycling that chant on other songs ("Escape", "Glam Slam 90" - also known as "Glam Slam 91").
There's plenty of annoying stuff that's from the NPS, Rave, NPGMC days. Mostly due to the production, lack of groove and songwriting that goes nowhere. "The Freaks On This Side", "Undisputed", "Supercute", "My Medallion" etc. spring to mind. It's not that they wouldn't have some interesting ideas on them too, but I just find them annoying to listen to.

It's truly shocking that someone could say "Cream" or "The Most Beautiful Girl In The World" is Prince's worst, or most annoying song ever. Have you heard "Poom Poom"? "Rich Friends"? "We Gets Up"? I can't understand how a song like "Cream" could really be more annoying that some of the other garbage Prince has put out. | |

People like different things, or are annoyed by different things...

Not liking a certain style of song, doesnt mean its a bad song.
Cream is 70's glam boogie brought to the nineties... you might not like the songs musical style, but is definitely a far better composition then turds like Life of the Party or Jughead. The same goes for Glam Slam, which is simply a better composition then crap like da da da or Never be another one like me.

I mean, really, I've heard people say "Cream is his worst song", and I've heard the same about Kiss, Purple Rain, etc... it's hard to believe that someone could think that after hearing songs like Poom Poom, Rich Friends, Jughead, etc..... I know everyone has different tastes, but it's still shocking to me.
