Sorry to hear about your tragedy. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

I agree with you about Comeback. It was the first song i played when I lost someone close to me. Im not an overly sentimental person but that song really touched me at the time and still does.
A brilliantly under stated song.

Mine is silly actually. Purple Rain. High school prom. My first love...he was a senior, I was a sophmore. He was graduating and leaving town. Even though we weren't breaking up (yet), I guess we both knew it wouldn't last. That was the worst summer for me (and my mom because there was nothing she could do to help me). I had a really hard time getting over him. First taste of love...bittersweet. If U set your mind free, baby, maybe U'd understand...

Paisley Park, because it brings back memories of Jr. High and my best friend Rod. We had been in class together since kindergarten, but weren't really friends - til I brought my Purple Rain album to school one day in 6th grade, I believe - or 5th grade - cause our music teacher asked us to bring in records to play. Turns out he was a huge Prince fan, and we become buddies fast. Ended up being best friends, even to this day, although we now live in different states. Paisley Park was kindof our theme song, in a way. ATWIAD - we were so excited when it came out. I had my mom drive us to town (we lived out in the country a ways...) so we could buy it on the day it came out. We used to stay over at each others house all the time, listening to Prince and Madonna and Culture Club and Duran Duran and Eurythmics and of course Michael Jackson - but mostly Prince. Every time I hear Paisley Park I remember those days, really the best times of my childhood.
