Any album that has the following

1. Completely new and contemporary sounding.

2. No played out Vegas horns or nonsensical hip hoppery gimmicks

3. No and I repeat NO influence by starlets, proteges, Bimbos, Bimboettes

4. 16 full length and well written songs, no songettes, segues or instrumental breakdowns

5. Full and open distribution through record stores the world over, no limited releases in newspapers or struggling department stores.

6. Immediate release of full length high quality pop single

7. Absolutely no religious/Jehovah or bigotry based lyrics of commentary (In fact one song has to be called "I'm sorry my LGBT sisters and brothers)

8. At least 3 steamy sex songs (I high nrg pumping tune, one steamy falsetto undress you ballad and one sexy R and B slow jam)

9. Full track listing and decent pull out note section, it must be marketed in a proper CD contained.

Getting even one of those would be a fantasy now.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

His own tour retrospective Box with a blu-ray or DVD of and audio CD of one top show and aftershow from each tour he's done. With the never seen documentary of the 1988 Lovesexy tour (if it reached a locked cut ever)

Then a Crystal Ball 2. I don't even care if there is new stuff too. I like some new stuff.

An album of "classical" songs. Stuff like Venus DeMilo and Alexa deParis.

Oh man, Preach on brother! You had me at the first line, but each bullet point got better and better.

The only thing I disagree with is the full 16 songs. I'd be happy with just 9 good songs (like Purple Rain) and to be honest, I'm not sure the old boy has 16 good songs per album in him at this point. Also sometime segues and interludes are cool, like the beginning of Computer Blue. Then again sometimes they are awful, like almost every other segues P ever did, so.....yeah, I guess you're just playing the numbers.

Yeah okay, lets just do 9, 16 is being very greedy, I was thinking of Sign, but then realised it was two albums not one. But to have 9 exquisite songs wow. Thanks for your positive feedback too, I like to keep it real when I talk about Prince.

I forgot another fantasy

10. The album is not overburdened or overproduced, we do not need 15 voiceovers and 6 layers of synth and drum machine backing (1 of each will do nicely thanks).

If you make lists like this, you're bound to get disappointed. And that's not Prince's fault, but your own. If and when a new cd comes, try 2 listen with an open mind...

An anthology set. Kind of like the beatles did.

Each volume is 3 discs, filled with unreleased
songs, demos he did for others, stripped down
versions and a few alternate takes.

It'd be a series of about 6 sets of 3cd boxes,
each set covering about a 3-4 year period.

What, you mean you like an actual Lynn drum as opposed to 6 fake ass Lynn samples falling all over each other and sound so cheap you swear they're straight out of Garage Band? lol

That type of talk could get you burned at the stake around these parts!

Thats what I mean, quality as opposed to quantity, one great Linn drum sound is cool, but fake ass ones and redubbed bass and drum parts along with cheap ass keyboards. What I meant was trying to avoid that Diamonds and Pearls and NewPowerSoul type sound.

Since this is all fantasy, why wouldn't you just wish for a release of every song he ever recorded? There's no point in being realistic; it's not like any of things other people are saying will ever actually happen.. neutral

But if I were to fantasize something more realistic, I'd like another rock album... more like Chaos and Disorder rather than Lotusflow3r. Or something completely new... country, metal, reggae, etc.... Prince is better when he's trying something new than when he's trying to be 'retro' like MPLSound/20ten..

As much as I'd like to have great stuff from the vault and digital remasters, I think the one thing I want that we might actually get would be vinyl remasters of the albums after Purple Rain of the same quality as the three that were released a few months ago. There's no reason why we shouldn't: it doesn't violate Prince's anti-digital pledge, after all. We won't get all the albums, but we should at least get ATWIAD, Parade, and SOTT. I'd love to get the Black Album and Lovesexy as well, but I won't hold my breath.

I think that's about all we're realistically likely to get in terms of back catalog reissues for the next year or so. If we get it.
