I do like this song, yeah, in fact reminds me of Dorothy Parker's mood..melancholia is much around it though..

Nevertherless, I do appreciate when he plays Jazz, such as one of my fav ever "Muse to the Pharaoh", but once again, nowadays am willing to hear sunny rythmic songs excited sun

We are close to Falls and Winter time around here, in this part of the world, and I'd rather listen to some dynamic vibes, in order to gain positive Energy..

Great song from a great album. Cool nod to BB King in the song, too.

I agree wholeheartedly. Sorely underrated album.

Yes I love this.

One of my favourite songs by Prince. I rediscovered the song a few weeks ago and it's been on repeat ever since. I love the lyrics. I mean, LOVE the lyrics, the melody, the arrangements, just everything about this song. I'm going to record it myself. Just to hear how nothing compares to his stuff smile . I wish this song was mine.

I adore Prince's sultry blues. "March was a cold one...in more ways than one". U should hear The Ride performed live right before ur very eyes. Now that is something to behold.

I think the 'Vault.. old friends for sale' is one of the better Prince songs from the second half of the nineties. I like it better then Joe Cockers version.

Also one of his view songs that actually benefits from the executive production (in this case by Ricky Peterson). The released version is more sultry and more harmonically interesting i think.
