Fall/Winter 2011 Ideas Prince has had a very successful year in 2011. 2nd Leg of the Welcome 2 America Tour (New York, NC, Oakland), a few aftershows, 21 Night Stand (sort of) in LA, & last but not least the amazing Welcome 2 Europe Tour.
but with talk of him taking a break from releasing music, what's Prince's next move for the rest of the year? i personally would like to see him on a hit & run tour in the US but in smaller venues like the green door, roseland ballroom, 1st avenue, SOB's, Hotel Gansevoort, etc.
a small, tight unit of a band: Drums, bass, 1 or 2 keyboards. MAYBE Shelby J but as less as possible!
they could jam at every show. switch it up as usual: hits, covers (VERY FEW), b-sides, unreleased & newer songs! (3121, Planet Earth, LotusFlow3r, MPLSound, 20Ten) similar to the 2008-2009 on-off shows
that would be awesome. have live nation run it. announce shows via twitter, facebook, even Dr. Funkenberry.
i think it would be hip & pretty cool

That sounds cool but I want him to be reclusive for a while and come back with an interesting and new idea and have ppl go "where did that come from" in a good way of course  | |

Lol.continuing the w2a tour would be a good idea but knowing Prince, he's already off that. Kinda how he was over SOTT when it came time for a US tour.idk. he could do an end of the year NPG festival with some paisley park shows. Just to try something different. Alot of different songs; old and newer. Slimmer band. No andy, as less shelby j as possible. | |

I love Sheila E and how she just has no problem at all focusing & highlighting her 1980's
Those Yoshi club shows were Brownmark jammed with her and she had Eddie M & Levi rocking totally shows how the people there were 'there' just adds a whole other dimension to the music, the energy level goes up
I wish Prince would do this more and not be afraid of his whole career and those who were 'there' helping make it happen.
I would love to see him with a band that circulates having people on stage with him from Andre Dez Jill Dr Fink etc along with newer band members. I think it could spark another level of excitement for his career... | |
