I'm going through various remixes of Prince and I'd heard they did All The Critics... way back when.

Looking online all I can find is they played it on the radio once in 1999 when they did a mixtape, but it's literally the standard song played on the radio.

So my question is - given how huge Prince fans they are - have they ever done an unofficial remix of Prince in the same way Fatboy Slim did When Doves Cry?

Their album Kish Kash has Prince influences all over it (& Meshell Ndegeocello guestin 2). Basement Jaxx r frequently documented citing Prince as an influence on their music.

They did a radio mix show and they had All The Critics In the mix! and it sounded so timeless.

I agree it did sound timeless but I was looking more for a specific remix rather than them just playing it on the radio. Nevermind! I agree they're always citing him as an influence which is why I'm surprised there isn't a boot of a remix out there somewhere.

their album rooty is also very heavy prince influenced from the album cover to the music.

Basement Jaxxs' studio is above my unit in a business centre. I just went and asked Felix and he said that they have never covered or remixed Prince. Simon is the big Prince fan out of the two. Felixs' favourite Prince track is Pop Life.
