I remember from several years ago, Prince said that he wrote a song for Beyonce and was hoping to get it on to her album - I think it was for Dangerously In Love. Anyhow, I remember her father saying he didn't know anything about it and sort of dismissed the idea. This was all prior to Beyonce giving Prince the alleyoop pass during the Grammy awards show in 2004.

Jay Z wanted 2 work with Prince on his version "Black Album". I knew Prince wouldn't do it, because of his jW believes. Knowing jay Z swears a lot in his music...

eye will ALWAYS think of prince like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. eye mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that prince wasn't of this earth, eye would not have been that surprised. R.I.P. prince

A collaboration with Dylan in the early days could have worked well to establish him as a serious artist in many people's eyes.

I would love to hear a Dylan / Prince collaboration.

Andre Cymone said that they got an offer from Diana Ross to produce a song, but he(Prince) turned her down.

I thought Wierd Al wanted to parody a Prince song, not work with Prince. Either way, Prince said no smile.

RIP sad

Fine Young Cannibals really wanted to work with Prince, so their manager called up to enquire about the possibility, and they managed to get them out to Paisley Park Studios, but to work with David Z. This resulted in the international #1 smash hit "She Drives Me Crazy".

You can definitely hear the Paisely funk on that track! Especially when the chicken grease kicks in.

That track is so funky. I can picture Michael singing it as well, it would have been hella cool. Ah well.

The reworked 87 version was anything but, though. Plus, it wouldn't fit the album's theme given that MJ was going for a harder image.

'87 version was SO UN-funky. Completely out of place for that album

hmm.. This is an interesting topic, but I have the feeling all the MJ talk is going to get it a lock . Anyway, I'm surprised to hear Bob Dylan wanted to work with Prince.. that's pretty shocking being that their music sounds nothing alike. And yeah, it would've helped Prince's career a lot, as would an MJ collaboration.

Everybody loves and want to work with Prince, but Prince don't love and don't want to work with everybody.

But, I think that there something that MJ recorded something about Prince, because of this

Nope. The painting was from an artist who put that symbol on there in the original painting. Sony had it removed because it was overlooked. THe painting had nothing to do with the album.
